The compilation LP, released 3rd March 2003
- The label history on one cd for the discerning music fan.
Placid Casual is five years old this year and, to celebrate
that momentous moment, we present to you a sampler of records that
we have released (and some we never got round to releasing).
On March 3rd, 2003, Placid Casual, the label set up, A&
R’d and generally propogated by the Super Furry Animals, releases
its first label compilation. Bringing together a selection of five
years of intermittent Placid Casual releases, unreleased tunes and
the odd surprise, the compilation is a snapshot of a genuine label
of love.
As with all Placid Casual releases, the CD cover itself is
also a work of genius, folding out into a handy (and comfy) chair
from which to enjoy these 10 tracks of beauty.
